Today I was life modelling for a hen party in Bath! On this occasion I was working for groovesandmoves.co.uk
This bunch were very fun, and a few of the girls had studied art at college, there was one graphic designer in the group who had some great skills. Even the people with no artistic background had a good time and drew some great sketches.
Sian was the art tutor for this session and Sian always gets me to do fun and interesting poses for the girls! We even got the bride posing with me so her friends could draw us both.
Life Drawing is a fun an tasteful form of hen party entertainment, everybody always has fun and even though there might be some giggles and some blushing at first, everybody always has a goof time.
The Ring o Bells in Bath has a beautiful function room which is very spacious and private, perfect for a life drawing session. It also has some good downlighting which make for some interesting shadows on the body,
We even got the bride and her mum both modelling with me for one of the poses!
The girls had more activities planned for the day but life drawing is a perfect gentle day time activity, perfect for a Saturday morning hangover!
Bath has a lot to offer and is a perfect hen party destination.
Today I was life modelling in Bristol for a hen party Life Drawing session!
I arrived at Central Chambers just as the group was arriving and I snuck in without anybody seeing! (It’s important for it to be a surprise for the bride! After all, that’s part of the fun of a hen party weekend)
We blind folded the bride and made her sit on a chair in the middle, once Beki gave me the signal I came out and stood infront of the bride in my dressing gown. (I think she probably guessed there was going to be a man in front of her!)
On this occasion I was working for GroovesandMoves.co.uk.
After she did her duty of removing my dressing gown, we proceed with the drawing exercises and some of the girls in the group did some great sketches!
Here is one by Lindsay
The group were from Wales and they had the usual fun feisty personality that we love about the Welsh! They had booked themselves a hotel for the weekend and had already explored Bristol the night before.
Bristol is a popular destination for hen parties because it offers so much. There is no shortage of bars, restaurants, cafes, clubs, activities and sights to see.
The girls did invite me to join them in town that night but unfortunately I had already been booked to be a Buff Butler that evening at another hen party!
We got a nice group photo
Some of the girls did some fantastic sketches as you can see from the picture.
This group of hens were a lot of fun. I was booked by Grooves and Moves to be a life model for this life drawing session on Saturday morning in Bath.
Beki was the Art Tutor on this occasion and she gave the hens lots of fun exercises to do.
The girls were hungover from the night before because they had been partying hard and playing lots of drinking games so we heard! But in true hen party style, the best way to get over a hang over is to start drinking again! They girls cracked open the bubbly and had a great time drawing some great sketches!
Beki had them drawing a range of different styles using different drawing techniques using char coal and pencil.
As you can see from the photos the girls drew some fantastic sketches and we even had enough time to get the Bride to sit with me and pose for one of the sketches! (don’t tell the fiancé)
There was talk about the sketches being displayed at the wedding! Whether they will or not we may never find out.
It was great to meet this group of girls and I believe their next activity that day was to visit the Roman Baths and enjoy the luxury Spa.
Life Drawing Model & Buff Butler
Well this was an unusual location for a hen party! This group of hens had opted for luxury camping weekend on a beautiful farm near Kideminster, Worcestershire.
I had been hired by Hens with Pens to deliver a Life Drawing session for this group of ladies. When I got there Louise the tutor had already been warming up the hens with some practise exercises where they were drawing each other.
There was a hot tub outside and the tent was beautiful. The first think I wanted to do was take a tour and look around the structure. It looked like it might have been custom made from thick canvas. It had a wood burner inside and all the amenities everybody needed including fitted kitchen and bathroom and bedrooms.
There were insteresting bunk beds inside wooden pods which were very cosy. Considering it was a tent it was definitely more luxurious than the average house!
It was a small group but they had plenty of energy! They’d already been enjoying themselves in the hot tub and had been doing other out door activities.
If I didn’t have to get going I would have very happily stayed and got in the hot tub with them!
As you can see from the sketches they produced some great art and they all enjoyed themselves.
Once the session was complete we got a nice group photo and I said goodbye.
Buff Butler & Life Drawing Model
This group of hens had hired a beautiful town house for their hen party weekend. The life drawing session was a complete surprise for the bride and she went bright red when I walked in!
I was working for Hens with Pens on this occasion and Penny had been warming the girls up with some portrates of each other. They were working mostly with charcoal but we did have pencils available if they wished.
We were in a beautiful spacious living room in an imaculate town house house in central Bath which was split over several floors.
The girls had visited the Roman Baths that day and had other activities planned for the rest of the afternoon which were a secret surprise for the bride.
I gave them a range of poses over our one hour session and some of the girls drew some fantastic sketches. There was lots of giggling but the artistic talent was very high and some of the hens surprised themselves with their drawing abilities!
My favourite hen parties are when the group has rented a weekend house. Everybody is more relaxed and they can help themselves to drink and food any time they wish. Much nicer than a hotel function room!
Life Drawing Model & Buff Butler for Hen Parties
This evening I was life modelling for a hen party is Bristol for Hens with Pens.
It was a surprise for the bride so I snuck in and made a big entrance once I had changed.
The weekend townhouse where they were staying in Stokes Croft was a place I had visited before and so I knew what to expect.
Amanda had already been readying the girls with some portrait sketches which they were practising on each other.
It was fairly late in the evening and so they’d already eaten and the champaign was flowing.
The hens drew some extremely high quality sketches.
I did several poses of varying lengths for the girls and they all had fun.
Tory was ever so eager to have a photo taken!
We got a group photo before Me and Amanada said our goodbyes and left them to it.
I also provide Buff Butler and Fire Spinning (if therea safe space)
Today I visited Chew Magna near Bristol to deliver a Life Drawing session for a group of Hens who were staying in Old North Chew Farm in Chew Magna.
That had already been enjoying Cocktail making activities and so were well into their weekend.
I was working for Hen with Pens on this occasion and was joined by Amanda who was the Art Tutor.
When I got to the door I was greeted by a sign which said Keep Calm its a Hen Party!
The activity was a surprise for the bride and she was taken back at first.
Once we sat everybody down the girls did some very nice sketches even though it did take a while for them to stop giggling (Stacey!)
Vicky did some fantastic sketches as you can see here.
The girls had more activities planned in Bath and so once we’d finished the life drawing session we got a group photo with everybody holding their sketches and left them too their weekend.
They almost asked me to stay as a Buff Butler but I don’t think it would have fitted with their plans.
Bristol & Bath
This evening I traveled to Gloucester for a Hen Party in a fabulous downstairs bar.
We played lots of drinking games and everybody had fun!
This group had a vintage makeover and they were all looking fabulous. They had their hair and makeup done in vintage style.
I made sure I chatted to everybody and got to know their names. It inspired me to get on eBay and buy some more great fun props for more games next time!
It had been a long day for me because I’d already been life modeling in Bath for previous hen parties that day!
These girls had also booked a tarrot reader which was an unusual choice of entertainment but it made the evening more interesting!
What’s nice is the mums and aunties joined in not just the young girls!
Everybody had a great time.
